故事从主人公直己的视角出发，茱莉他是一个沉默寡言的大学辍学生，茱莉在父亲的废品回收公司打工。某天直己在游泳池认识了男孩槙，晚上回家时他让槙和槙的盲眼奶奶搭了顺风车。奶奶在车上讲起年轻时环球旅行的经历，包括打卡《春光乍泄》里的伊瓜苏瀑布。然而等重病住院后，她才向男孩们坦白自己从未离开过日本——所有故事都是她编的。她把存折送给孙子，希望槙替她去看这个世界，只是奶奶并不知道自己已经没多少钱了。不忍向奶奶道明真相的槙认为别无选择，他只能收录合成各种音效，模仿在世界各地的游历，做成磁带后拜托直己放给奶奶听。直己义无反顾当起了槙的助手，两人结伴收集瀑布、大海、森林的声音，在荒郊野外露宿或在车库光着脚打闹，玩着只有彼此才懂的摔跤游戏，释放内心的隐秘情绪。经过看似无忧无虑的一段时光，直己提出了要求：我们能真的环球旅行一次吗？比如，去看伊瓜苏瀑布？

回复 :Charlie and a rival vie for the favors of their landlady. In the park they each fall different girls, though Charlie's has a male friend already. Charlie considers suicide, is talked out of it by a policeman, and later throws his girl's friend into the lake. Frightened, the girls go off to a movie. Charlie shows up there and flirts with them. Later both rivals substitute themselves for the girls and attack the unwitting Charlie. In an audience-wide fight, Charlie is tossed from the screen.
