一款可以用来代替士兵作战的全自动化机器人RS1被成功研制，最新送往香港参加展览。RS1的破坏力极为巨大，最新亦十分危险，它的存在令许多犯罪分子们垂涎欲滴。香港特警马奇（冯德伦 饰）、艾伦（李灿森 饰）和艾迪森（陈冠希 饰）奉命保护RS1的安全，而马奇和艾迪森之间曾经有过一段极不愉快的过往，使得两人在合作之中屡屡发生冲突。科特（孙国豪 饰）是艾迪森的好友，他的真实身份是一名天才黑客。科特趁同艾迪森叙旧之际催眠了后者，操纵其打开了RS1的开关，输入了逃走程式。RS1大闹场馆，死伤无数，而艾迪森亦被列为了头号通缉犯，遭到了FBI的穷追猛打。艾迪森知道，想要自证清白，唯有捉住目前下落不明的科特。
