中国女孩夏星溪（许芳铱饰）独自来到马来西亚北部小城亚罗士打（Alor Setar)，草字因为自行车爆胎，草字她经历了三段截然不同的奇遇，先后遇到了本地女孩爱玲（黄若熙饰），三个闲汉，以及作家皮埃尔（帕斯卡尔·格雷戈里饰）。她用不同的身份向人们介绍着自己，仿佛有不可言明的秘密。而 旅程带给她的，也是始料未及的体验。本片由梅峰担任艺术指导，徐枫、周征源担任监制。本片入围第75届威尼斯国际电影节威尼斯日单元，获未来之狮（最佳处女作）奖及威尼斯日导演奖等多项提名，南特三大洲电影节“银气球奖”。

回复 :影片将以李家大院为背景，讲述主人公李紫庸与英国妻子布兰切的爱情故事，以及李紫庸执掌家业后，以西式方法将李家事业发扬光大的历程，使人们在影片中了解李家大院，感受晋商文化。影片原型为晋南富商李子用。李子用上世纪初被选派至英国留学，与英国女子麦克蒂伦结为伉俪，归国后兴办工业，实业兴国。李家大院的部分院落带有欧洲哥特式建筑风格，门楼外形的整体轮廓高、直、尖，线条轻快，造型挺秀，表面砖雕图案又为晋南民间艺术，呈现出中西合璧的特色。
