传说明朝时期，协奏一锦衣卫受令缉拿贪官，协奏身受重伤后被路过的小厨子所救。为报恩情，选择留下来落地生根的锦衣卫将绣春刀和绣春刀法都传给了他。而小厨子的后人在通过杀鸡宰鹅的方式练刀时，意外发现用此法片下的鸡鸭鱼肉鲜嫩非常，口感上佳。所以那套绣春刀法经过代代演变传到乡厨钟正手上时，已经成为了他能做出绝佳美味的独门秘方。 天才食神钟宇鹏在见识到了钟正高超的厨艺后，为了不让明珠蒙尘，和钟曼曼、老王一起说服钟正，将他那把绣春刀及其相关传说作为噱头，进行网络炒作吸引游客。虽然成效显著，但也引来了一些觊觎绣春刀的不怀好意之徒，搅得全村鸡飞狗跳，不得安宁，出了不少啼笑皆非的闹剧。而许多从未有过的挑战，也接踵而至……
