电影《荒岛惊魂2018》主要讲述的是徐磊的未婚妻林夕在三年前突然失踪，日韩一天，日韩徐磊收到了弟弟徐飞送来的消息，说在一个荒岛发现了野人的踪迹，有个野人女孩很像林夕，而三年前林夕就是因为考察野人而失踪的。于是徐磊决定去荒岛对野人进行考察，一同前往的还有弟弟徐飞及林夕的妹妹林诺，三人住进了荒岛上王大成开办的酒店，徐磊在海边考察的时候，遇到了神秘的野人。从此，神秘的谋杀事件一件接着一件的发生，而到最后徐磊才发现原来这一切竟是一场惊天的阴谋......

It is more memorable than Julien Duvivier's earlier silent version of 1925, also named Poil de Carotte.The part of Poil de Carotte was played by 11 year old Robert Lynen, who was alleged to have been discovered whilst walking down the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Lynen is totally captivating and the film made him an instant star, launching what looked like becoming a very promising film career – until he was shot dead whilst fighting against the Germans in 1944. Harry Baur, a legendary stage and film actor (who also died during World War II, allegedly at the hands of the Gestapo), also turns in a typically fine performance. The reconciliation between father and son at the end of the film provides its most enduring image, enough to melt the heart of all but the most stoical of spectators.
