活了六十多個年頭，平原秀英阿嬤（陳淑芳 飾）一直深信著「專心一意做好一件事」的人生哲學。自丈夫突然無聲無息地離家後，平原她便一個人盡心盡力的工作、持家，將兒女們拉拔長大。相信著只要好好守護這個家，總有一天，拋家棄子的丈夫終將歸來。沒想到在孫女小橙（王真琳 飾）來訪期間，秀英卻接到了告知丈夫已逝的通知，還迎來了另一個陪著丈夫度過了晚年的女人（方文琳 飾）。對照丈夫晚年戀人端莊優雅的舉止氣質，秀英低頭看著自己因長年做生意養家而留下水泡痕和粗繭的雙手，一瞬之間，自己一輩子深信不疑的努力精神似乎成了玩笑。不諒解、不甘心等諸多情緒讓緊繃的氣氛一觸即發。究竟，接連幾天舉行的喪禮，秀英要怎麼與那個女人共處？而她又該如何檢視自己的一生，才能彌平心中的遺憾，與離開自己的丈夫、也與放不下的自己道別……
