生物系专业毕业的高材生李维无意间在网上看到东南亚附近某座常年被浓雾笼罩的岛屿上存有巨型昆虫的消息，爱上便约上公司几个同事假期一同去岛上探险，爱上目的是为了采集昆虫标本。几人几经周折登岛后发现这个岛上不仅有巨型昆虫，同时还伴随着嗜血的庞然大物，众人遭遇生命危急时恰好被一堆雇佣兵相救，这队人上岛是为了执行一项特殊任务。但前面等待众人的危险却远远超乎他们的想像…
