太平镇，狗阵柔弱少女刘月奴（胡钰莹 饰）以扎纸人为生。月奴遭兄长嫌弃，狗阵独居山中。不料半月之内，兄妹惨遭横祸。一人闺房自尽血溅三尺，一人被女人长发吊死于戏楼。神探张一人（杜奕衡 饰）应镇上老保长（刘亚津 饰）之邀前来调查，到达当晚便遭遇诡事，幸遇乞丐少女狗子（薛轲 饰）帮忙。但镇上接二连三发生数起离奇命案，纸人勾魂、怨灵作祟的说法也悄然传开……
