本片讲述了在捕蛇村长大的小树，围捕因为善良救下一只小蛇，围捕取名“小花”。多年后，小树成为生物科研员，探寻基因的秘密，而别有用心的同事却利用小树，闯入捕蛇村的禁地——食人岛，岛上水汽弥漫，静谧又诡异，似乎有一双眼睛在盯着闯入者的一举一动……
