江木塔子（松岛菜菜子饰）是一位历次结婚对象皆猝死的高校教师，埋伏为了追查真相保险公司调查员英器（竹野内丰饰）因而结识了这个神秘女子，埋伏发现她的未婚夫总是在结婚前以她为受益人买下巨额保险，而在结婚前3天解除，之后意外死亡。更发现她十五岁的时候父母在家中自焚，为她取得大量的保险金，让她接受教育活至成年。这个谜一般的女子，让英器陷入了悬疑的剧情及若有似无的恋情中。
