陈家富（金城武饰）是个调琴师，电脑有点木讷的他每日过着重复的生活。某日，电脑他和游牧人（郭富城饰）相遇，游牧人的生活居无定所，不是泡妞就是赌马，好心的陈家富收留了他。某日，他俩的楼上搬来了一个喜欢弹巴赫爱的协奏曲的女生莫敏儿（陈慧琳饰），陈家富对其一见钟情，但是却始终无法对其表达自己的好感，很快，莫敏儿被游牧人捷足先登，两人成了一对。最后，陈家富讲了个“XO侠侣”的故事，原来世界上的每个人都在寻找他的莫敏儿，运气好的找到了，运气不好的穷尽一生都找不到。爱情就是如此。
