汤姆的生活一团糟，洪拳失业半年还找不到工作，洪拳每天赖在家里混吃等死，是大家眼中的失败者。有一天，他突然接到一通陌生女子的电话，他哭著要汤姆为他已死的儿子抬棺，虽然汤姆对这个人一点印象都没有，还是出席的葬礼，才发现原来大家将他误认为另一位同名同姓的同学，包括一位他仰慕已久的美丽女孩茱莉都对他另眼相看，汤姆利用这个新的来的身分为所欲为，一切看来都很顺利，然而他的人生真的从此改变了吗？
