回复 :卖唱孤女月容受人欺侮﹐幸得马车夫二和相救﹐把她收留家中。邻居田二姑及皮鞋匠王傻子﹐见月容聪慧能唱﹐于是便介绍乐到杨五爷去学戏﹐后来登台卖唱大受欢迎﹐却引来宋信生垂涎她的美色﹐设法引诱她落入自己设置的圈套。二姑的母亲意欲撮合女儿与二和的婚事﹐可惜二和心属月容而婉拒﹐然而不久二姑在刘经理家中任家佣﹐被诱失身怀孕。月容被信生带到天津﹐才发现被骗﹐好不容易返来﹐欲寻二和﹐可惜二和因在刘经理公司工作﹐生活得以改善﹐便与母亲搬到他处居住﹐月容只得再度卖唱为生。而二姑之母迫刘经理作媒﹐好使还未见肚的女儿能跟二和成婚﹐隐暪她与刘经理之间的丑事。成婚之夜﹐二和隐约听到外头月容正唱着“夜深沉” ﹐可是走到屋外﹐又不见其影踪。后来二和发现被二姑骗婚﹐对她非常冷澹﹐刚巧在清风社找到月容﹐二姑知道后立时请刘经理制约他﹐而刘经理也欲佔有月容而收她为乾女儿。未几二姑知道刘经理转向月儿﹐醋意大生﹐在争执间被刘经理所踢﹐流产身亡。刘经理把月容诱至家中﹐二和紧随相救﹐溷乱中月容掩护二和﹐刘经理的手鎗失火自毙﹐月容也因羞惭而自杀身亡。
